In enzymology a dolichyl-phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.51) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reactiondolichyl phosphate + H2O dolichol + phosphateThus the two substrates of this enzyme are dolichyl phosphate and H2O whereas its two products are dolichol and phosphate.This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolases to be specific those acting on phosphoric monoester bonds. The systematic name of this enzyme class is dolichyl-phosphate phosphohydrolase.
