Digermane is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Ge2H6. One of the few hydrides of germanium it is a colourless gas. Its molecular geometry is similar to ethane. The compound has no applications being unstable at elevated temperatures.It is be produced together with germane by the reduction of germanium dioxide with sodium borohydride the principal product being germane. Traces of trigermane are also produced. It also arises by he hydrolysis of magnesium-germanium alloys.
