Dieter Krause (born 18 January 1936 in Brandenburg an der Havel) is an East German-German sprint canoer who competed from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s. He won a gold medal in the K-1 4 × 500 m event at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome (with Paul Lange Günther Perleberg and Friedhelm Wentzke).Krause also won four medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with a gold (K-4 1000 m: 1963) a silver (K-2 1000 m: 1963) and two bronzes (K-1 500 m: 1958 K-1 4 × 500 m: 1963).
