Des Newton is a former Gaelic footballer and manager from County Roscommon Ireland. He played with the Roscommon intercounty team from the 1970s until the 1980s. He had much success winning two Connacht Senior Football Championships and an All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship in 1978. He also played with Donegal.As a manager he has been involved with Kilmacud Crokes for a number years and served as a selector.
