Derek Kirk Kim (born 1974) is an award-winning Korean-American writer cartoonist character designer and filmmaker. He is the writer of TUNE and the writer and director of the spin-off webseries Mythomania. He won both major comics industry awards in 2004 the Eisner and the Harvey for his debut graphic novel Same Difference and Other Stories which was originally serialized on his website Lowbright(formerly known as Small Stories).
