Dentler Erdmann was a business education teacher at Los Angeles California Belmont High School until his retirement. In 1975 he was named California Teacher of the Year.During his long years of service at Belmont he was the advisor to the student council the school yearbook staff and to the school newspaper The Belmont Sentinel. On September 23 2011 the Belmont High School football stadium was renamed Dentler Erdmann Stadium.
