Dennis Mark Hertel (born December 7 1948) is a former a politician from the U.S. state of Michigan.Hertel was born in Detroit Michigan where he attended the public schools graduating from Denby High School in 1967. He received a B.A. from Eastern Michigan University in 1971 and a J.D. from Wayne State University in 1974. He was admitted to the Michigan bar in 1975 and commenced practice in Detroit.
