Dengue fever (UK /ˈdɛŋɡeɪ/ or US /ˈdɛŋɡiː/) also known as breakbone fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. Symptoms include fever headache muscle and joint pains and a characteristic skin rash that is similar to measles.
