Democratic Force (Spanish: Fuerza Democrática) is a political party in Costa Rica.The party was founded in 1994 by Gerardo Trejos and other new left-wing Costa Rican leaders. In the elections that year the party won 2 seats whilst its candidates in the presidential election Miguel Zúñiga Díaz finished third with 1.9% of the vote. In the 1998 elections it gained a seat whilst its candidate (this time Vladimir De la Cruz De Lemos) again finished third in the presidential contest.
