The Delta IV Heavy (Delta 9250H) is an expendable rocket the largest type of the Delta IV family. It was first launched in 2004.It resembles the Medium+ (52) except for using two more Common Booster Cores instead of Graphite-Epoxy Motors. These extra cores are strap-on boosters that are separated before the center Common Booster Core separates. The Delta IV Heavy also has a stretched 5-meter composite payload fairing.
