The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is an agency of the United States Department of Defense that forms a key component of the U.S. Military Health System (MHS). It replaces the Tricare Management Activity as the U.S. military entity responsible for providing TRICARE a health care program that provides civilian medical care to American service members and their dependents. TMA had provided TRICARE services since 1996.
