Dead Indian Summit (el. 8060 ft./2453 m.) is a high point on Wyoming State Highway 296. The summit is located on Chief Joseph Scenic Byway and crosses the Absaroka Range. It was formerly (and inaccurately) referred to as a mountain pass.
