Dawn Jean Acton (born 15 March 1977 in Ashton-under-Lyne Greater Manchester) is an English actress and DJ most notable for playing Tracy Barlow in the long-running British soap Coronation Street for periods between 1988 and 1999.As a child she attended Stamford High School in Ashton-under-Lyne Lancs.For a short period she worked at Manchester Met radio where she once interviewed The Doves. She currently resides in Dukinfield Greater Manchester.
