David Stuart Walker(born 30 May 1957) is the current Bishop of Manchester. He was announced as the Bishop-designate of Manchester on 5 June 2013 and enthroned on 30 November 2013. He was educated at Manchester Grammar School competing in the International Mathematical Olympiad in 1975 and King’s College Cambridge. After a period of study at Queen’s College Birmingham he was ordained in 1983.
