David John Walkowiak (b. 18 June 1953) is a Roman Catholic bishop. He was appointed as bishop of Grand Rapids on April 18 2013 by Pope Francis following the resignation of Bishop Walter Allison Hurley. He is of Polish descent.After attending Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1975.
