David A. Katz (born 1933) is a United States federal judge.Born in Toledo Ohio Katz received a B.S. from Ohio State University in 1955 and a J.D. from Ohio State University College of Law in 1957. He was in private practice in Toledo Ohio from 1957 to 1994 focusing on corporate law.Katz was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Katz was nominated by President Bill Clinton on August 12 1994 to a seat vacated by Alvin I. Krenzler.
