Dave Douglas (January 1 1918 – November 16 1978) was an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour in the 1940s and 1950s.Douglas hailed from Newark Delaware. Early in his career he held the position of club pro at the Newark (Delaware) Country Club from 1940 until October 1942. After World War II he joined the PGA Tour. At 6’2 tall and 165 pounds he was lean and lanky. He was of Scottish ancestry and known for his smooth swing.
