Daniel Bursk Dan Strickler (May 17 1897 – June 29 1992) was the 19th Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania from 1947 to 1950 under Governor James Duff. Strickler was born in Lancaster Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the military during World War I and served in the Mexican Border Campaign in 1916; he was wounded while serving in France in 1918. Strickler then enrolled in Cornell University graduating in 1922 after serving as president of the Quill and Dagger society in his senior year.
