He was sired by the Swale Stakes winner D’Wildcat and is out of the Woodman mare Elbow.Trained by Rick Dutrow D’ Funnybone is owned by Paul Pompa Jr. and has won the 2009 Saratoga Special Stakes and the 2010 Hutcheson Stakes. He is considered as a contender for the Kentucky Derby. On March 27 2010 he won the 7-furlongs Swale Stakes.
