Coprosma rotundifolia is a native forest shrub of New Zealand. Its found on the North South and Stewart Islands usually in forest close to a watercourse.C. rotundifolia can grow up to 5 metres tall with divaricating branches. Veins are evident on both sides of leaves and the shrub produces red or white fruit.
