The CDTV (an acronym for Commodore Dynamic Total Vision a backronym of an acronym for Compact Disc Television giving it a double meaning) was a multimedia platform developed by Commodore International and launched in 1991. It is the first game console and computer with a CD-ROM drive built in releasing March 1991 before any other CD built-in console.[citation needed]
