Colleen Leigh Farrington (born April 20 1936) is an American model and nightclub singer. She is the mother of Academy Award-nominated actress Diane Lane. She was also Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Month for its October 1957 issue. Her pictorial was photographed by Peter Basch.Farrington was born in Davisboro Georgia. Before becoming a Playmate Farrington was a fashion model in New York City and was a particular favorite of fashion designer Oleg Cassini.
