Clyde Edward Fant Sr. (October 18 1905 – July 6 1973) was a 20-year Democratic mayor of Shreveport Louisiana having served from 1946 to 1954 and again from 1958 to 1970. Fant was cited as Louisiana’s Mayor of the Year in 1953 by the Louisiana Municipal Association which he headed for three consecutive years.
