The Clarion is a 17 storey hotel located beside the River Shannon on Steamboat Quay in Limerick. Part of the Clarion Hotel brand which in turn is part of the Choice Hotels group it is one of two Clarion Hotels in County Limerick the other being on the Ennis Road. It is 187 ft (57m) at its tallest point. The Hotel was built in 2002 at a cost of €20 Million. Due to its proximity to Thomond Park a lot of opposing rugby teams stay here when they play Munster at the stadium.
