Clément Rosset (born 1939 in Barneville-Carteret Manche) is a French philosopher and writer.After studying at the École Normale Supérieure he took the agrégation of philosophy in 1965. For the next two years Rosset taught French at the Université de Montréal Quebec Canada then settled in Nice France where he taught philosophy until his retirement in the late 1990s.
