In enzymology a citrate lyase deacetylase (EC 3.1.2.16) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction[citrate (pro-3S)-lyase](acetyl form) + H2O [citrate (pro-3S)-lyase](thiol form) + acetateThus the two substrates of this enzyme are [[[citrate (pro-3S)-lyase](acetyl form)]] and H2O whereas its two products are [[[citrate (pro-3S)-lyase](thiol form)]] and acetate. This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolases specifically those acting on thioester bonds.
