Cirsium lecontei (often called the Le Conte’s thistle) is a perennial or sometimes biennial species of thistle a forb/herb of the genus Cirsium and as such a member of the family Asteraceae. The flowering season is mainly spring to summer (May-Aug in the Northern Hemisphere).
