Christopher Lee Thompson (born November 30 1978) is an American swimmer who won the bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the 1500-meter freestyle. He was the second American swimmer to go below the 15-minute mark in the 1500-meter and held the American Record for four years. He attended the University of Michigan where he was a member of the Michigan Wolverines swimming and diving team from 1997 to 2001.
