Chlorpromazine (as chlorpromazine hydrochloride abbreviated CPZ; marketed in the United States as Thorazine and elsewhere as Largactil or Megaphen) is a dopamine antagonist of the typical antipsychotic class of medications possessing additional antiadrenergic antiserotonergic anticholinergic and antihistaminergic properties used to treat schizophrenia.
