The Chamber of Deputies (Cámara de Diputados) is the lower house of theDominican Republic’s bicameral National Congress. The upper house is the Senate.It currently comprises 195 deputies (183 by province 5 National and 7 Overseas) who are elected for four-year terms. Congressional elections was held in even numbered years not divisible by four till 2010.
