Cephalotaxus hainanensis is a species of plum-yew confined to the island of Hainan southern China where it can grow 15–20 metres (50–70 ft) tall. It is possibly a synonym of Cephalotaxus mannii.C. hainanensis has antileukemia activity and is widely used in China. Exploitation of the bark and leaves (needles) as well as logging are a potential threat to this species that is widespread on Hainan.
