Ceftobiprole (Zeftera/Zevtera) is a fifth-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae Pseudomonas aeruginosa and enterococci. It was discovered by Basilea Pharmaceutica and was developed by Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development.
