American recording artist CeCe Peniston entered the music industry as a backing vocalist on the Overweight Pooch album Female Preacher released in July 1991 on A&M Records. Besides her backing-vocal performance on the track I Like It released as a single she was also given a credit for co-writing two compositions; Kickin’ Da Blues and Female Preacher.
