Casuarinin is an ellagitannin. It is found in the pericarp of pomegranates (Punica granatum). It is also found in Casuarina and Stachyurus species and in Alnus sieboldiana.It is an isomer of casuarictin. It is a highly active carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.
