Cantabrian is a branch of dialects belonging to the Astur-Leonese Group and indigenous to Cantabria in Northern Spain.Traditionally some dialects of this group (e.g.: lebaniegu tudancu) have been further grouped by the name Montañés (that is from the Mountain). However some other Cantabrian Dialects have never been considered montañés by their speakers (i.e.: Pasiegu).
