Cancroidea is a superfamily of crabs comprising the families Atelecyclidae and Cancridae and tentatively Montezumellidae. Four other families have been separated into new superfamilies: Cheiragonidae into Cheiragonoidea Corystidae into Corystoidea and both Pirimelidae and Thiidae into Portunoidea.
