The Cambodia National Rescue Party or CNRP (Khmer: គណបក្សសង្គ្រោះជាតិ Khmer pronunciation: [kuə̯n paʔ sɑŋkruəh ciət] literally: Party of Rescuing the Nation) is a Cambodian electoral alliance between the two main opposition parties the Sam Rainsy Party and the Human Rights Party founded in mid-2012 to run together in the 2013 Cambodian general election.The Cambodia Democratic Movement of National Rescue the transitional body ahead of the merger has established working groups to unite the two groups and is in the process of creating a joint national platform and common party policies.
