California Western #45 is an operating 2-8-2 steam locomotive at the California Western Railroad. The locomotive was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works for a lumber company in 1924 and instead of being retired in 1964 was sold to the California Western Railroad for tourist excursion service.45 along with running mate #46 for many years ran the line’s summer tourist train the Super Skunk between Fort Bragg and Willits.
