The 2012 California State Assembly elections took place on November 6 2012 with a primary election held on June 5 2012. Voters in all 80 of California’s state assembly districts voted for their representative. The Democrats gained three seats from the Republicans winning 55 seats and forming a two-thirds supermajority in the chamber.
