The Calico Solar Energy Project now shelved was a proposed photovoltaic power station to be located in San Bernardino County California on 4600 acres (1900 ha) of Bureau of Land Management land. It will be mixed design of 618 MW fixed tilt and dual axis photovoltaics.Originally it was stirling engine design and the company involved was Tessera Solar. The project was approved by Ken Salazar Secretary of the Interior on October 20 2010.
