Calcium β-hydroxy-β-methylbutyrate or calcium HMB is a nutritional supplement which represents a calcium salt of beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate (HMB). The latter is a leucine metabolite produced in the body through oxidation of the ketoacid of leucine (ketoisocaproate KIC).
