The Brigham Young University Rugby team was part of the USA Rugby College Premier Division winning the 2012 D1-A National Championship at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy UT. BYU’s championship was recognized at halftime of the BYU – Weber State football game on September 8 2012 in front of 60000 fans.In summer 2012 BYU rugby announced that it would not be participating in the College D1-A postseason any longer effective immediately.
