Buru or Buruese (Indonesian: Bahasa Buru) is a Malayo-Polynesian languages of the Central Maluku branch. As of 1991 was spoken by approximately 45000 Buru people who live on the Indonesian island of Buru (Indonesian: Pulau Buru).
