The Burbo Bank Offshore Wind Farm is an 90MW offshore wind farm located on the Burbo Flats in Liverpool Bay on the west coast of the UK in the Irish Sea.The wind farm was developed in the 2000s by SeaScape Energy which was acquired by Dong Energy in 2005. A 25 turbine installation using Siemens Wind Power 3.6MW turbines was constructed from 2005 and official opened in 2007.In 2009 planning began for a potential ~250MW extension; Burbo Bank Extension
