Buparvaquone is a hydroxynaphthoquinone antiprotozoal drug related to parvaquone and atovaquone. It is a promising compound for the therapy and prophylaxis of all forms of theileriosis. Buparvaquone has been shown to have antileishmanial activity in vitro.
