The Bulgarians (Bulgarian: българи IPA: [bɤ̞ɫɡɐri]) are a South Slavic nation and ethnic group who speak Bulgarian and are native to Bulgaria and neighbouring regions. Historically Bulgarians have lived between the Danube the Agean Adriatic and Black Seas in southeastern Europe for over one thousand years. Today most Bulgarians live in Bulgaria which is bordered by Romania Serbia Macedonia Greece and Turkey.
