Bouillon soup is a Haitian soup traditionally cooked on Saturday. It is made with sliced meat potatoes sliced plantains yam kelp cabbage and celery (other ingredient variations exist) and cooked as a mildly thick soup. It is similar to sancocho served in some neighboring Latin American countries.
