Borkum West II is a 400MW wind farm under construction near Borkum. The project was approved for construction in 2008 and will cost €1 billion to construct. The wind farm will have 80 wind turbines. Its name has been changed to Trianel Windpark Borkum in early 2013. Phase 1 of the installation will consist of 40 Areva 5MW turbines.
