Bis(pyridine)iodonium(I) tetrafluoroborate or Barluenga’s reagent named after J. Barluenga is a mild iodinating reagent. Commercially available it may be prepared by reacting iodine with pyridine in the presence of silver tetrafluoroborate supported on silica gel.
