Bifemelane (Alnert Celeport) is a pharmaceutical drug used in the treatment of senile dementia in Japan. It has nootropic neuroprotective and antidepressant effects and acts through the cholinergic system in the brain. Bifemelane is also useful for the treatment of glaucoma.
